The band was founded in May 1967 when the Victoria Park Citizens Band (established 1930) and Southern Districts Youth Band amalgamated. This band was known as the Southern Districts Band. The band is now known as the Town of Victoria Park Brass and is proudly sponsored by The Town of Victoria Park council.
